Woodstock
Elementary Scrip Orders - Frequently Asked Questions
What
is Scrip?
Scrip means Ōsubstitute
moneyĶ. Scrip is a regular debit
gift cards for specific stores, restaurants, and services. Scrip is a dollar
for dollar exchange so it costs you nothing! For example if you buy a $50.00
certificate to your favorite grocery store you pay $50.00. The store or
restaurant then gives Woodstock Elementary a percentage of the sale.
How do
I buy scrip cards?
Fill out an order form marking
the cards you wish to purchase. Write one check for the entire order. Orders turned in on Monday will be
delivered the following Friday.
You may pay with cash or check. Scrip cards will not be given to children to
take home unless a waiver has been signed.
Does
Scrip expire?
Most gift cards to not
expire or have fees assessed for non-use.
Please read the back of each card to know the specifics or check the
balance online.
Do I
get change back from a purchase?
If you use a gift card,
any change remaining from a purchase stays on the card. Change may be given up
to specific amounts from gift certificates.
What
if I lose my Scrip cards?
Scrip cards are just like
cash and must be safeguarded just like money.
Why
should I use Scrip?
The potential for
fundraising is limitless! The greater your participation and the more orders
means more money for our school.
Use Scrip for everyday purchases such as grocery shopping, renting
movies, and dining out. They also
make great gifts!
How do
I get started?
Just pick up and fill out
a form with the appropriate check or cash by Monday after school and pick up
your order the following Friday.
You can turn in orders on other days of the week but they will not be
available until the following Friday.
We are trying to make
Scrip as easy to use as possible. PTA representatives will be available in the
main lobby most Monday and Fridays before and after school. If you have further questions or can
help out please contact Michelle Culley at michellec710@ gmail.com or 503-351-7863.
DonÕt forget E-Scrip.
Register your Safeway and other participating cards at E-scrip. Every time you
use that card they donate money to our school! ItÕs that easy!
