About PTA
Woodstock PTA is the primary volunteer organization that supports all students, parents and staff at Woodstock Elementary. PTA allocates funds to all teachers and all support staff at Woodstock Elementary for supplies, field trips, and general use. PTA parents help organize and run the winter clothing drive, all-school potlucks, teacher and staff appreciation. PTA also pays for School Safety liability, subsidizes after-school program scholarships for students, and more.
PTA parent volunteers organize fundraisers throughout the year that include school t-shirts, Scrip, planning day family matinees, dine-out days, fall and spring fundraisers and a Harvest Carnival. We have donated a new playground for our school and are currently have a group of parent volunteers working on raising money to bring an Art Teacher to Woodstock by 2011-2012 school year.
Children in the Immersion program are direct beneficiaries of all PTA activities, as is every child at Woodstock. We urge all Immersion parents to become PTA members so we can maintain the quality parent, student, and teacher support at Woodstock that we have come to expect from our school.
PTA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
Executive Board Meetings
Our last 09-10 Executive board meeting will be held in April of 2010. The public is welcome to attend. The Executive board plans to meet quarterly during the 2009-2010 school year.
